// My Beauty Essentials for Spring //
My beauty resolution for 2016? Investing in fewer beauty items! There is a whole box of stuff sitting in my closet that I go to from time to time, picking out items that I think (!!!) I am going to use – ending up doing so for a day or two before going back to my routine. I feel that with beauty items you go through phases. Momentarily I opt for a) a good eye cream as I feel it’s the most important, b) a combination of a cleansing gel and a facial cream as well as c) a treatment to boost my collagen production when my face needs a bit of rescue – and believe me, this doesn’t only happen after a night out! And then there is d) a brand new perfume!
Only about six months ago I started using eye cream. Talking to a friend, who had been doing so for years, I felt it was now time to prevent those wrinkles from getting any bigger. Yes, I know, looking at the images you will see that I opted for one of the most expensive eye creams there is but let me tell you, it works wonders! Not only does my Creme de La Mer Eye Cream hydrate my skin, it helps those bags under my eyes to disappear as much as possible and has (so far) prevented me from getting any wrinkles around my eyes! In short: I will stick to that one, thanks!
The combination cleansing gel and facial cream was a recommendation of my beauty therapist and for now, it seems to be working just fine! Dermalogica was invented by the International Dermal Institute and has been combining the right ingredients to work on each skin type. As I have combination skin, these items have been working really well for me and I can highly recommend them both. They have managed to be up there with my beauty essentials for spring in no time.
And now to the rescue: Sunday Riley has been known to work magic on your skin and ever since I saw their products here, I thought of getting something just to try it out. Turns out: They do work magic! The Good Genes serum for example evens out your skin, getting rid of wrinkles in no time (I promise!), ensuring for a youthful look that lasts all day or night, depending on application. This product definitely counts as one of the top of the list regarding my beauty essentials for Spring.
If you have read my article on summer scents, you know what perfumes I generally use. Until I recently found out about Sentifique, a Swiss brand specialising in extraordinary and exclusive scents. As I am not much of a girly girls perfume person, this was right up my way and I decided to go for Cèdre Sacré, a woody smell with a Mediterranean touch – turns out my husband loves the scent as much as I do and we are now sharing!
