#ootd // midi skirts for autumn
My love to midi skirts started when my mum gave me one of her vintage skirts to try on. To be fair, I would have never thought they would suit me or even be in fashion ever again. Well, turns out they are being worn by fashionistas across the globe, actually cut an elegant figure and are the more comfortable option – especially on windy days. Midi skirts can be worn with heels or (!) sneakers (though I am trying to get away from that lazy sneaker vibe a little) and should be paired with a top that is comfy and not too oversized as the skirt itself generally is quite fabric-heavy. On my recent trip to Milan, I bought a pair of oh-so-amazing snakeskin booties, the likes have recently been designed by Isabel Marant, Chloé and Gianvito Rossi. I am sure they will stick around for some time, so if you can, I suggest you get your hands, ehm, feet onto a nice pair of those stylish kicks (see below for options).
Instead of pairing the skirt with a general top, I actually used a dress. Being a blogger, you have to get creative sometimes. The upside: it helps you stay warm as it functions as a double skirt underneath your midi! If I had opted for a jacket, I probably would have gone for a black leather all-rounder as it would break the elegance and give a bit of edge. xx conny.
